I had some left over yarn from a market bag I made, so I decided to make this super cute lip balm case! I was a little confused in the beginning, but that's just because I was stupid and didn't read the directions right (which I tend to do a lot...). But once I figured out I was supposed to do TWO single crochets for the second row in each stitch, it turned out a lot better. So just a head's up, read the directions right! And if you do that, this project should be no problem at all. It took me about 20 minutes and I'm so happy with how it turned out! I even found a little duck button from my mom's button tin, so it's absolutely perfect now!
I love how the striped pattern from the yarn worked out! I'm definitely going to make some more of these for myself and maybe for some swaps I'm taking a part of. My family thought I was crazy for being so excited over a lip balm case, but I think it's adorable!! Haha, I guess I just get excited over my projects wayyy too easily :) You guys should definitely try it out! It's cute, fun, and perfect to throw in your purse!
such a cute idea! -lisa
