Pinspiration: Halloween Food

So for this week's Pinspiration, I'm cheating and not using Pinterest. Instead, I'm using my other favorite image website imgfave. I've been finding adorable Halloween Food images and I just have to share them with you all! They put me in the Halloween mood, not to mention they make me insanely hungry! I'm going to have to do some serious baking when I go home thanks to these pictures :)

Don't you just want to go out to the store, buy every Halloween themed food in site, plop down in front of the TV, and gorge yourself while watching Hocus Pocus? Haha, well I sure do! I'm going to go find myself some orange Oreos and be one happy camper :)

Confessions of a Movie Addict

For some reason, I've recently had this craving for movies. I've always loved watching movies, but lately all I've wanted to do is sit in my room and watch movies from my 100 movies to watch list. So when I went to the library on Friday, I got a bunch of movies and got through FIVE this weekend! That's right. When I wasn't playing Quidditch, I was holed up in my room watching some pretty fantastic movies! And while I was watching them, I got some progress done on my knitting and crocheting project! I'm only a couple of rows away from finishing my latest cowl and I've been firing through the tiny crochet bows. We're selling them for only $1 as fundraising for my knitting club, so I have quite a bit I'm going to have to make! But hopefully it's worth it in the end! Time definitely goes by faster if I have a really great movie to watch.

These are the five movies I got through this weekend, and they were actually REALLY good! I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed them, especially the black and white ones. My favorites of these had to be...

I love Audrey Hepburn, so I wasn't too surprised how much I loved Roman Holiday. The other two, though, I had no idea what they were going to be about before I watched them. I was so happy with how they turned out! All three of these movies were such adorable, quirky romances, so that's why I think I loved them so much. After I watched one, I just couldn't wait to see what the next one had in store for me. And now I'm flying through my movie list! I reserved like seven more movies from the library that haven't come in yet that I'm just dying to see. I just hope I don't have too much homework going on so I can forget my life and get lost in the magical world these movies create :)

So overall it was an absolutely fantastic weekend! Our team went 2-2, which could have been better but we'll take what we can get! I got a lot of movie watching done too from my movie list so I'm really excited about that progress! I have been spending a lot of quality time with my Shakespeare textbook, but as an English major I'm not complaining :)

I hope you guys enjoyed your weekends as well! Tomorrow's Monday, which means another fabulous week of class, movies, and knitting new projects when I should be doing homework. Ah, the life of a college student!

Kitchen Krazy: Marvel Comics Sugar Cookies

So when I went home last weekend, we went to the mall Saturday afternoon and I was able to stop by all of my favorite stores. So, of course, we got to go into William Sanoma and they were having a sale on pretty much everything in the store! I got so excited when I saw these Marvel Hero Cookie Cutters on the sale table. They were 25% and I knew I just HAD to have them.

My amazing mother bought them for me and I went straight home and whipped up some sugar cookies!  They're so cool because you press down on the top to stamp the image onto the actually cookie. This was the first time I've ever used a cookie cutter like that and it was so much fun! Haha, I am completely obsessed with these cookie cutters now!

They looked so cool when I was cutting them that I couldn't stop obsessing over their awesomeness. I was so giddy and dancing around while I was cutting the dough....it was definitely a fun baking experience! I didn't press hard enough on the stamp for some of them, so that's definitely something I'll remember for next time! But I absolutely adore my cookies and love choosing who I'm going to eat next :)

These guys are just so awesome!!!! And now I really want to watch the Avengers :) I should throw an Avengers part and make some cookies for the movie! Oh my goodness, there are so many possibilities with these cookie cutters...who knew food could be so fun and inspirational?? I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for more fun cookie cutters that I can add to my collection :)

Friday's Favorites

Andddd it's Friday! This week actually went by super fast, but I guess that's because I've been looking forward to this weekend for forever! My school is hosting our Quidditch tournament this weekend, so we've been planning and practicing a ton and it's finally here! Woo hoo! Haha, so it's about time. Anyways, enough about me and my boring school life. Here's what I've been obsessed with this past week!

1) How cool are these batman earrings?? They're so cool! I would love to be able to add these to my collection :)

2) These monthly owls are absolutely adorable! I love the ones for April and October. Pretty sure you can't get much cuter than an owl dressed up as a bunny...

3) I love this kitty pocket so much! I added a pocket to a sweatshirt to dress it up a while back and didn't even think to do a super fun print. I'll definitely have to try that out next time!

4) Harry Potter shoes! I wish I had good enough artistic talent to be able to do this to every single one of my shoes, because I totally would! Nothing would be as cool as having a pair of these shoes.

5) This 2012 London wish is going to be a 2013 reality!!! I'm officially going to London for 6 weeks this summer and I absolutely cannot wait :)

6) Just look at these adorable fish pops. It actually looks like a fishy swimming in the ocean! And the added sand and bubbles are just too cute. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to eat them because I wouldn't be able to stop looking at them!

7) Mmmmm, Lucky Charms will probably always be one of my favorite cereals ever. I even had some this morning! Haha, the little marshmallows are bound to put a smile on anyone's face :)

8) These Halloween cupcakes are seriously awesome. I saw the little cupcake topper knives being sold at the grocery store and came this close to buying them because they looked so cool. It actually looks like the cupcakes are being stabbed!

9) I absolutely love this heart blouse and burgundy pants. You can never have enough hearts in your wardrobe and colored pants always add that extra pop to an outfit. I just want to steal this to stash in my own closet so badly!

10) This motto is so true. I would love to have a print of this for my room because it describes exactly how I want to be in life...except for the whole part about not being able to brighten up my own life...it's Friday so I'd say my life is bright enough :)

Fruity Pebble Yarn and Midterm Exams

Life has been crazy this past week! In between projects, papers, and exams, I feel like I've barely had any time to breathe! The good thing, though, is that one of my friends had two skeins of this adorable pom pom yarn that she didn't want, so she gave it to me! Haha, I love nothing more than getting new, fun yarn to work with! And every time I look at it I think of Fruity Pebble cereal. I could live off of sugary cereal, so this fact definitely made me even more excited to find a project for it. The only problem is that now I want to knit instead of study for my midterm! Ahhh what's a girl to do??

Oh, but good news! I got an A- on my Shakespeare paper that I was completely freaking out about, so that definitely made today much, much better than it could have been. I've been studying nonstop for the past three hours, but having my knitting in my lap and Harry Potter on TV has made it bearable! And I found an adorable ghost pencil that makes me smile every time I use it because it's a nice little reminder that my favorite season is currently going on :)

And that's really all that's been going on with me! Between school and knitting, there's really not much time to do anything else! Mmmmmm and working with this yarn really makes me want to eat some yummy, sugary cereal. I'm going to go pour myself a bowl before getting back to the books. Hope you guys are having a much more fun night than me and, if I survive this exam, hopefully I'll talk to you guys tomorrow! Happy knitting :)
