What I Wore: A Great Start to the Week

Dress- Forever21 | Sweater- American Eagle | Belt- Delia's | Tights- Target | Shoes- Target

Happy Monday, everyone! It's only the very beginning of the week, but it's already been a fantastic one! About an hour ago, I learned that my first class of the day was canceled, so I don't have to go anywhere until 2 pm today. Normally, I'm out of my apartment from 11 am until after 8pm because I have classes all day long, but now I only have two classes instead of three! Yay! I'm going to spend my morning catching up on blog posts and reading some books that I have to review this week. Oh, and studying for my film studies exam tomorrow! While one class is canceled, the rest must go on…

Another reason I'm in a good mood is because it's the first time I've ever worn this dress! There's just something about putting on a new outfit for the very first time…I love it! It's supposed to get up into the 70s today, though, so I'm not sure how I'll do with the tights. But the dress is on the shorter side and I was too lazy to shave my legs, so the tights are here to stay. Hopefully it won't get too hot, which is ridiculous seeing as it's the last week of October. Oh well, after today it'll start going back down until Saturday, where it's projected to have a high of 46 degrees. Bring on that fall weather!

What I Wore: It's Getting Cold!!

Dress- Forever21 | Denim shirt- Kohl's | Tights- Target | Shoes- Target | Watch- Macy's

I was so excited to wear this outfit today. I ordered this dress on Columbus Day for only $5 with free shipping. Seriously, I am way too addicted to online shopping, but how can I resist with such amazing sales? And it processed that day and came exactly 5 days later, which never happens. Forever 21 seriously rocks my socks. But back to the outfit. I didn't realize that it was going to be in the high 40s and low 50s today. With wind. Needless to say, I was a bit chilly! On my way to class, I wore a coat over my dress, but I hate wearing coats over dresses because I feel like it ruins the whole effect and I just look ridiculous with the skirt hanging out and a big coat covering whatever sweater/shirt I have over the dress. Once I'm inside, though, I love my outfit! No bulky coat to ruin my meticulously thought out clothing.

Aside from not being appropriate dress weather, though, I really have been loving October. I can't believe there's only a little over a week left! Did you know that there's 64 days until Christmas? I just checked. I already want to start Christmas shopping, but I'm going to hold off until November. Hey, at least I have some restraint! I have, though, already started making my Christmas list for Santa. It's never too early to plan out what I hope good old St. Nick will bring for me this year ;)

What I Wore: Twirling in Tights

Dress- Forever21 | Sweater- Ann Taylor Loft | Tights- Target | Boots- Delia's | Scarf-Handmade

This is the first outfit of the season where I got to wear tights and I was so excited. Over the past year, my tights collection has exploded and I have them in every color you can imagine. When this dress finally came in the mail from Forever 21 after I ordered from their website, yet again, a couple of weeks ago, I knew that my light pink tights would go perfectly. And look how pretty they look together! I love it :)

You know what I also love? Fall weather. Wearing this sweater over my dress with a scarf was absolutely perfect for how the weather turned out to be, which was in the high 50s and low 60s. While it ended up being a bit more windy than I had anticipated, I had my trusty tights on to protect my legs from any possible flashings that a gust of wind could have caused. Yet another reason to love tights! I can't wait to pull out even more of my collection as the weather gets colder. Here's to a great season ahead full of bright tights, snuggly sweaters, and even more snuggly scarves.

What I Wore: Stealing From My Sister

Dress- Delia's | Sweater- Forever21 | Flats- Delia's | Watch- Macy's

One of the best parts about having a sister is that I essentially have two complete wardrobes. While we may not look anything alike and are different heights, my sister and I are the same size, both in clothes and in shoes. My sister wore this dress for our birthday and wasn't planning on wearing it anytime soon, so she let me take it to school with me. Who am I to say no to more dresses? The hard part about sharing clothes, though, is that I start to forget who owns what. I wore a dress the other day that I could have sworn was mine, but my sister told me it was her's but she's never actually worn it because I took it. Haha, guess I should give it back to her sometime, shouldn't I?

Did I mention that the sweater is also my sister's? She's owned it for over a year but rarely wore it because she said it was too scratchy, so I finally begged her to let me have it for the semester. I've already worn it at least three times and it's easily become one of my favorite sweaters to wear with dresses. The color is gorgeous and I love how it looks with a dress. Hopefully she'll forget all about it and I can keep it forever. I mean, what are sisters for?

What I Wore: You Go to Yale?

Sweatshirt- Forever21 | Jeans- Gap | Keds- Macy's | Bag- Amazon

Pshhhh, no I don't go to Yale. I'm definitely no Rory Gilmore and I like my own University just fine, thank you very much. I just saw this sweatshirt online at Forever 21 and could not get over how comfortable it looked. And you know what? It is really comfortable! Sometimes, I just feel like throwing a sweatshirt on when it's cold outside, so that's exactly what I did on Tuesday. Especially since it was around 50 degrees when I left my apartment for class and ended up being 70 degrees when I got out. I'm so fed up with this bipolar weather that changes 20 degrees in two hours. Just be Fall already! Please?

My Great Gatsby bag has definitely become my go-to tote bag while at school. It reflects my personality (book worm, right here) and is actually a thick material that can hold quite a bit of stuff. I love taking it to knitting or my movie viewing on Wednesday nights for my Film Studies class. Plus, a little Gatsby in your life can never hurt ;)

What I Wore: Goodbye September

Dress- Forever21 | Belt- Delia's | Sweater- Delia's | Shoes- H&M | Watch- Macy's

How did September go by so fast? Seriously, it seems like just yesterday we were leaving August and just getting into the swing of being back at school. Now, it's officially Fall and October begins tomorrow. Before I know it, it'll be Halloween, then Thanksgiving, and then Winter Break! As my last semester as a college student taking college classes, it seems to be going by way too fast.

Monday's are always a little hectic for me with three classes and my book club meeting. I'm out the door by 10:50am and don't come back home until after 8pm. It's nice having my only long day be on Monday, though, because then I get it out of the way and can relax by the time Tuesday rolls around. I only have two classes today and then knitting club, so it's not going to be that bad of a day. While I do have an exam in my film studies class, it shouldn't be too hard. Hopefully it goes well!

What I Wore: Flower Power

Dress- Forever21 | Sweater- Forever21 | Shoes- Modcloth | Watch-Macy's

Looking through all of my dresses, I realized that I have a lot of florals. I think that when I see a floral dress, I love how many colors are in the pattern and can imagine matching that dress with so many different kinds of sweaters. Obviously, I just have to buy it! I wore this dress for my 21st birthday with a jean button-up shirt and I already pulled it out again to pair with my pink sweater. I love how the sweater makes the pink of the dress pop more. Oh, and I definitely can't forget about the shoes! I got them from Modcloth and they are amazing. Seriously, they fit like a glove and are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I'm obsessed! I'm so sad, though, that they're not available anymore because I would definitely buy these shoes in every color possible. They're just perfect!

I know I talk about the weather in almost every one of my posts, but it's been crazy lately! The temperature has dropped a good 10 degrees since last week and now it's constantly in the 60s, if not the 50s. I wore this dress out when I had class at 11:30 am and it was just the perfect amount of layers to feel comfortable. I had class until 6:30 pm and then I had book club from 7pm (which was super fun because we read Jane Eyre and gushed about it for a solid hour). By the time I was walking home at 8 pm, the temperature had dropped a good 15 degrees and I was freezing! I guess that's Ohio for you...

What I Wore: Spring Into Fall

Dress- Delia's | Sweater- Ann Taylor Loft | Sandals- Forever 21

Whenever I look at this dress, I think of Spring. I even wore it to Easter mass last year, which is pretty much the definition of Spring. Despite the fact that it is definitely not Spring right now, I couldn't stop myself from wearing this dress. I love the bright floral pattern and I'm obsessed with the fact that it has pockets. I've also been trying to stock up on cardigans that can be worn with dresses and I fell in love with this sweater at the Ann Taylor Loft Outlet I went to while I was on vacation in Myrtle Beach. I could already think of all of my floral dresses sitting in my closet that would go with the green color perfectly.

Despite the fact that I've been dying for Fall weather, I'm definitely going to miss days that stay in the 70s with a cool breeze that stop you from becoming a sweaty mess after spending only five minutes outside. Yesterday was one of those days and I did not want to change out of my dress when the day was over. And those sandals! Walking at least a mile to and from class means that I definitely have to have a pair of comfy shoes one (I already have blisters up and down my heels from wearing new shoes) and these sandals are heaven. I could have walked for miles and been totally fine. That's the beauty of a good pair of shoes that look good but also feel fantastic.

What I Wore: Pineapples and Kitties

Dress- Delia's | Sweater- Delia's | Shoes- Delia's | Watch- Macy's

Hmm, looks like I like Delia's…a lot! I didn't even notice that basically my entire outfit was from Delia's until just now. I didn't buy all of these pieces at the same time, but they sure do go together. My mom says that when I actually start teaching, I'll be wearing the same outfits as my students because I still shop at Forever 21 and Delia's like I did when I was in high school, but I can't help it! They have such cute clothes that I am in love with, so who am I to say no to my style just because a wide range of people shop there?

And can I please obsess some more over those cat flats? I've wanted a pair for forever, but was never willing to spend a bunch of money on them. They finally went on clearance and I got them during another special sale at Delia's for about $7. You could say I was excited to finally own them. I got my regular size, but unfortunately they ended up fitting about a half a size too big. I just wore some flat socks with them and stuffed each toe with a tissue. Surprisingly, they fit pretty well and were very comfortable to walk to and from class in.

A lot of new clubs have been starting up this week, so I have been busier than ever! Now, I have a meeting every single night Monday-Thursday, so this semester is definitely going to keep me busy. Since I'm student teaching next semester, though, it's basically my last semester as a college student taking college classes. While I'm very excited to finally graduate in the Spring, that means I'm finally going to have to go out into the real world and work a real job. Can't I just stay a student forever?

What I Wore: Back to School

Shirt- Primark || Shorts- Gap || Shoes- Macy's || Watch- Macy's

First, let me apologize for my open closet in the background. I completely didn't notice it until I was uploading the pictures and saw the mess glaring at me from the background. Since it's on display… do you like my sweater collection? That's the mess on the top shelf of the closet. And all of my shoes hanging up and piled on the floor? Yeah, sometimes a girl just needs a bigger closet.

Anyways, onto my outfit. For the first couple of weeks of school, I always carefully plan out my outfits so that I can impress my new classmates and teachers. Haha, in my dreams. In reality, I like it when I like my outfit because that always puts me in a better mood. And being flung back into classes, homework, papers, and readings, it's always more manageable when I'm in a good mood.

I rarely wear tank tops, but the weather has been absolutely ridiculous this past week. The temperature has been in the high 80s, which wouldn't be too bad if I didn't have to walk at least 20 minutes to and from class every single day. By the time I got home to my apartment after my first day of classes, I was sweating so much and just wanted to collapse on my bed with a tall glass of lemonade and never move. I decided to plan better for the second day and wore this tank that I got from Primark when I was in London. It was super cheap and I loved the horseshoe pattern and chain connecting the collar. It made for the perfect outfit to make the heat a little more bearable.

ps. Don't you love the colors of my room? When we first looked at this apartment, I knew that this was the room I wanted. The walls already matched half of the furniture I own and I could already see how amazing it would look with my pink and blue christmas lights hung up around the room...

What I Wore: I Do BBQ

Tank Top- JCPenny | Shorts- Old Navy | Shoes- Forever 21

This past weekend, my family headed up to my brother's fiancé's home for their "I Do BBQ" to celebrate their engagement. My sister and I were so excited to bake up some macarons, mini red velvet cupcakes, and mile high marshmallow bars to take as dessert for their party. The sweet treats were a hit and my brother's fiancé loved them, which made us so happy. We were able to help out her family setting everything up and then hung out with the rest of her family, getting to know our soon to be family! While the wedding isn't for another two years, I can't wait for them to finally get married.

For the barbecue, they decorated the backyard with tables, paper lanterns, pictures of the couple, and mason jars full of roses. It was adorable! When it got dark enough, we lit paper lanterns and released them into the sky, which was beautiful and just like Tangled, which is one of my favorite Disney movies. The invitation said to dress casual, but it was an engagement party, so my sister and I still made sure to dress up a bit. I am obsessed with the purple tank top I got from JCPenny. The lace detail on the sleeve area is so pretty and I absolutely love the color. Also, it was the perfect outfit to move around in and play some corn hole with my family. I think that the party ended up being the perfect beginning to a long engagement journey. Hopefully the couple has many, many great years ahead!

What I Wore: Who You Gonna Call?

Sweatshirt- Forever 21 | Shorts- Kohl's | Shoes- Macy's | Purse- Forever 21

No matter what I do, I can't stay away from Forever 21. In fact, this picture is taken just around the corner from a Forever 21 store! Haha, I'm seriously addicted to shopping there, both in person and online. I got my sweatshirt and purse from their online sale and got fabulous deals on them. Since I go back to school in exactly one week, I had to go to the actual store one last time before I'm deprived for the next few months. Why, oh why, did I have to go to a college that literally has no shopping for at least 40 minutes in each direction? Ugh, at least I'm not tempted to spend my money while at school!

As much as I love back to school shopping, it means only one thing: Back to school. How has the summer gone by so fast? I'm going to be heading back for my last first day of college, which is so weird to think about. My time as a students is coming to a close. Hopefully this time next year, I'll be preparing for my first day of school as a licensed teacher. Yikes, I'm going to be a grownup with a grownup job! For now, though, I get to enjoy my last year of no Friday classes, 6 week long winter breaks, and just being with my college friends.

What I Wore: 21st Birthday!

Dress- Forever 21 | Jean Jacket- Kohl's | Purse- Macy's | Shoes- Old navy

Wow, am I really 21? I feel like this day has been so far away, but now it has already passed! I already talked about how I spent the day, but I wanted to share my outfit. My sister and I were so excited to wear our dresses and feel great about ourselves since we were finally legal! If you look good, then you definitely feel good. And did we feel good! Of course we ended up with similar dresses. What can I say? We're twins!

It's no secret that I'm absolutely obsessed with Forever 21, and I was beyond ecstatic when I found the flower dress for only $15. Forever 21 sizing varies so much from product to product, so I can never order a dress online. That means that whenever I go to the store, I load up on dresses and hit the dressing room. I almost always find a dress I absolutely adore, and as soon as I tried this one on, I knew I had to wear it for my birthday. Our condo was absolutely freezing since the air conditioning was up so high, so I added on a long sleeved jean shirt to stay warm. I love how the combination turned out!

Let's not forget about the gorgeous girl on the left! My sister ordered her dress from Delia's and paired it with a cute coral belt, which matched the colors of the dress perfectly. We had a blast celebrating our birthday all day and I couldn't have asked for a better person to share it with.

What I Wore: Black and White Stripes

Dress- Delia's | Shoes- Modcloth | Purse- Ebay | Belt- JcPenny's

Happy weekend, everyone! I have been working non-stop ever since Sunday, but I finally get a day off tomorrow. I only had to work two hours this morning, though, so I went on a little adventure with my sister and visited The Book Loft. As a bookworm, The Book Loft was absolute heaven. We had fun going through all of the rooms and hallways lined with books. Then, we ate some macaroons from a bakery around the corner and grabbed smoothies at Starbucks for lunch. It was a fun afternoon to relax after such a busy week.

For the rest of the day, I plan on parking myself in front of the TV and gorging on Gossip Girl. I'm finally on season four of five, which means I'm that much closer to finally being done with the series. And now that they're all in college, things have only gotten crazier. I still think Blaire and Chuck are meant to be!

My plans for tomorrow are still up in the air, but I know that I'm definitely spending the day with my mom, dad, and sister. I work every night Monday-Thursday, so I've been missing a lot of family dinners this summer. I can't wait for some much needed family time, no matter what we end up doing.

What I Wore: Mint Shorts and Sequined Sweaters

Sweater- Macy's | Shorts- JcPennys | Shoes- Nordstrom Rack | Socks-Kohl's | Sunglasses- Primark

Today was such a pretty day and I couldn't help but dress to reflect my mood! I felt so bright and spring-y in my outfit today. Especially with those shoes! My sister and I went to Nordstrom Rack for the very first time this past weekend and it was amazing. How have I not shopped there before?! I got the pair of Sperry's I'm wearing for only $33! For Sperry's! Yeah, I was pretty excited. I got pair of turquoise flats for only $17 and it was so hard to stop there. But I had to limit myself, so I walked out with two pairs of shoes for only $50. I'd say it was a success!

I am absolutely obsessed with the color mint pretty much all year round, so I knew I had to have those shorts when I saw them at JcPenny's. And they match my shoes perfectly! Oh, and excuse the little cutie that popped into my pictures. Rosie tends to follow me and my sister around when we're home for the summer, so she was definitely curious when we left her to go take some pictures. No surprise, she plops down right next to me! So I had to say hi!

I'm hoping to do more outfit posts this summer, so hopefully this one is the first of many! My sister and I have been dying to go shopping and are planning on hitting up the Memorial Day sales at the mall this weekend I can't wait!

What I Wore: May Flowers

:: Outfit Details ::
Dress :: Delia's
Sweater :: American Eagle
Bow :: Made by me
Purse :: Vera Bradley

It's May! And you know what they say....April showers bring May flowers! And I'm definitely in the flower mood with this gorgeous weather! I recently got this purse from Vera Bradley's website and I am completely in love with it. The color is perfect for the season and it's the perfect size! I can fit a book in it (which is a necessity for me) but it's not too big that it takes up a bunch of room. I love it!

Dresses just make me so happy! I wore this on a day out with my friends where we went to Five Guys for lunch (they have the best burgers and fries ever) and then to my absolute favorite store Half Price Books. It felt so much like summer, driving around in the sunshine, just having fun with my friends. When I'm in an outfit like this, any day can feel like the perfect day :)

What I Wore: Owl Always Love You

::Outfit Details::
Dress :: Modcloth
Sweater :: American Eagle
Shoes :: Macy's
Bracelets :: Pandora

This is my very first Modcloth purchase and I have to say, I am completely in love with it. Owls are one of my favorite things ever, so I instantly became obsessed with this dress when I first saw it online. It was during the time of one of their super sales, so it was under $20! It normally has long sleeves, but because it has an open back and I did not have a backless bra, I compromised with a sweater on top. And since it was a little chilly today, a sweater was absolutely perfect.

I just felt so happy in this outfit all day. Seriously, wearing a dress with keds makes me want to dance all around. Then, add in the owls, and you honestly could not wipe the smile off of my face all day. I am absolutely loving this dress weather! I plan on wearing dresses all week and there's is nothing anyone can do to stop me :)

What I Wore: Ruffled Flowers

::Outfit Details::
Dress :: Forever 21
Sweater :: Gap
Shoes :: Macy's

Another dress! Yay! I am so in love with the ruffled button up front of this dress. I'm normally not a big fan of ruffles on outfits, but they're just such a cute added touch that makes the dress so much more adorable. This dress actually has 3/4 length sleeves, but the shoulders are a bit poofy, so I think the sweater does a perfect job of hiding that awkwardness of my shoulders.

I know, the background of these pictures suck (there's very limited space in a super tiny college dorm room), but I promise I will look for better places for outfit pictures! It's supposed to be sunny and in the 70s on Monday and Tuesday, and you can bet I've already got two dresses lined up to wear on both of those days. With only two weeks left at school, I've got to leave my college classmates with a bang! Which, to me, means wowing them with my adorable spring/summer dresses. I can't wait!

What I Wore: Blue Butterflies

:: Outfit Details ::
Dress :: Macy's
Sweater :: Gap

Since the weather has been beyond gorgeous (at least before this past weekend hit), I have been so excited to wear dresses. One of the first dresses I wore was this blue butterfly dress I got from Macy's a couple of years ago. It just screams spring. But you know what the best part about it is? The pockets! Any dress with pockets is definitely a plus for me. And I love how the green makes the outfit look even more perfect for spring.

Sorry for the horrible picture background, but being at school doesn't really give me a lot of options for taking pictures of my own outfits! Maybe next time I have a cute outfit, I'll go exploring and see if I can find a prettier location. That just makes me so excited for my next opportunity to wear another lovely dress that has been hanging sadly in my closet during these long, dreadful winter months. Spring dresses here I come :)
