Modcloth New Arrivals Wishlist

I don't know about you, but all I've been thinking about is shopping lately. With Black Friday and Christmas quickly approaching, all I want to do is buy Christmas presents and shop for myself. Especially when I get emails about all of the amazing deals! Modcloth has been sending me daily emails about their sales and, of course, I always click on the links and end up spending way too much time window shopping online. I mean, there's no way I could possibly buy everything I want from them while still being able to buy all of the Christmas presents I have to! A girl can always dream, though…

Modcloth is always adding new clothes to their store, and I just fell in love with their newest additions when I was browsing their one-day sale today. While none of these are part of that promotion, these were all recently added to their stock and they're gorgeous! So many dresses, tops, and sweaters, and I just want to buy them all! Maybe if I have some leftover money after the holiday season...

Cheetahlicious Wishlist

Okay, so I just realized that every single one of these products is considered Leopard print, but I'm going to call them cheetah because "cheetalicious" sounds so much better that "leopardlicious." And who can really tell the different anyways, right? Lately, though, I have been obsessed with animal print and didn't really realize how much of it I had until I went shopping last weekend. I bought a pair of silver animal print Keds and silver animal print pj pants. Not to mention any time I get free underwear coupons from Victoria's Secret, I always end up getting a cheetah print pair. Coincidence? No, I'm just obsessed with animal print!

You know what else I'm obsessed with? Forever 21. And every single item listed above is from Forever 21. Seriously, it's like a match made in heaven! Not to mention that all of these are affordable and oh so tempting for me to just give in and buy. Especially the cross body bag. It's only $22! No wonder I always end up buying things from Forever 21 whenever they're having a huge sale. Their prices are just impossible to beat with such cute merchandise. Do you guys have any prints that you absolutely love and can't help but buy?

Boot-i-liscious Wishlist

When fall comes around, one thing always comes to mind: Boots. I own three pairs of boots and a pair of rain boots and that's still not enough for me. I have to stop myself from drooling any time I see a cute pair of boots online…and from grabbing my credit card to impulsively buy every pair I see. There are so many cute pairs out there and I just want them all!

I typically find myself more drawn to a light brown shade of boot as opposed to black or dark brown. I think that's because I own one black and two darker brown pairs of boots and am dying for something completely new to add to my wardrobe. Lately, dark green has been catching my eye as well. A nice forest color is so pretty and absolutely perfect for the fall season. Ah, there are just so many colors and designs available! And I want them all!

Project Wishlist: Cowls

I always have projects that I want to make, but I never had enough time in the day to make them all. When the fall weather moves in, I always want to make as many cowls as possible to snuggle up in as I head to class in the crisp air. My favorites list on Ravelry absolutely explodes and I pine after all of the beautiful cowl patterns there are out there…

The one that I definitely can't wait to start is the My Favorite Things Infinity Scarf. I love how that pattern leaves the ability for the knitter to make it unique to their own favorite things. I would definitely have a panel that says "knit" and "purl". The sheep are adorable too and they even have elephants! The possibilities are endless and it looks like so much fun to make.

As for the other scarves, the patterns look simple yet they turn out gorgeous! I love how big and fluffy the Valuminosa cowl looks and that purple color is gorgeous. I have some pink yarn, though, that I could see making a gorgeous cowl with that pattern. Oh, I'm already itching to get started!

Dress Me Up in Fall

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. I love Fall. And I love dresses. Okay, so it's not that big of a secret. But I am in love with the latest dresses from Modcloth and couldn't help but put together a list of dresses I think are perfect for my favorite time of year. I love the earthy colors that are so popular during the fall and how crisp everything is. I just think of bonfires, picking apples, roasting s'mores, baking everything with pumpkin…mmm and it's only just begun!

This upcoming weekend is going to be very busy and I can't wait! I have a trip planned to Cincinatti for Half Price Books' clearance warehouse sale, woo hoo! While I'm there, I'm stopping by JoAnn's to pick up some yarn to make some gifts for my cousin's baby shower in November. Then, on Sunday, I'm running a 10k sponsored by Panera! I'm super excited and can't wait for those delicious bagels that will be waiting for me at the finish line. Other than that, I'll be spending as much time as I can either outside, soaking up this beautiful fall weather while drinking some pumpkin hot chocolate or snuggled up in my room reading yet another fantastic book. Don't you just love fall?

Fall Into Sweater Weather

I am so over this summer weather. We had such a cool summer and now that I'm back at school, Ohio decides to have a high of 90 degrees. every. single. day. It's September! Shouldn't we have at least some reprieve of this ridiculously hot weather? I don't know about you, but I am so ready to finally break out my sweater collection and embrace the cool, crisp weather of fall.

Over the past couple of years, my sweater collection has multiplied about five times as big as it was in high school. I absolutely love sweaters because they are a staple in my wardrobe that can span a wide range of seasons. I can wear a light sweater in the fall, heavy sweaters in the winter, and then light sweaters again in the spring. I can wear a sweater to dress up an outfit or wear them with some skinny jeans and a pair of Uggs. I literally live in sweaters during the winter months and am always looking out for more to add to my wardrobe.

I love sweaters that are fun and can start a conversation. Owls, cats, deer…the possibilities are endless! Not to mention the color choices. Just talking about sweaters makes me long to bundle up in one, drink some hot cocoa (with some pumpkin creamer, of course), and read a good buck all night long. Oh sweater weather, where are you???

Apartment Wishlist

As Friday quickly approaches, I have been mapping out exactly how I want my new apartment to look like, which I am sharing with the three friends I lived with last year. This weeks marks my last official week of summer before I head back to school to move all of my stuff for my senior year of college! When I moved my furniture from my old apartment to my new apartment a couple of months ago, the carpets were still damp from cleaning the morning our landlord told us we had to move. Damp carpets mean absolutely no furniture in the room to avoid mold and water damage to my furniture. That means that my things have been sitting in a pile outside of my brand new room (that just so happens to be turquoise) for the past couple of months since I've been home all summer. You could say I am excited to finally move my things into my room and make it my own.

I have found, after living in my very first apartment last year with my three friends, that the kitchen and my bedroom are by far the most important rooms for me to decorate. I love finding new mugs and bakeware for the kitchen. They always have to be full of color to reflect the happiness I feel whenever I'm in the kitchen, baking up a new recipe. Oh, and cute animals don't hurt either!

As for my bedroom, I have quite the obsession with throws. I've been dying to have a Disney throw and still have yet to obtain one. The only problem is, though, that I have no idea which one I would want! Frozen? The Little Mermaid? Beauty and the Beast? Oh, the choices. I also love having fun lamps and wall decorations. The amount of posters I own is ridiculous and I always want more. What can I say? I love my decorating!

Back to School Wishlist

Seeing as school is quickly approaching, I have been itching to go back to school shopping. There's nothing like a new outfit to start of the perfect first day of school. Since it's finally my senior year, I definitely want to end my college experience with a bang. And to me, that means dressing my finest and feeling my best. I student teach during the spring semester, so I can't wait to wear my dress every single day of the week. All summer I have been working in a day care where our uniform is our staff t-shirt and gym shorts. While it's comfortable, I miss my cute clothes! I am beyond excited to finally pull out my dresses when school finally starts up. I would love to add some of these Modcloth dresses into the mix as well.

Along with the perfect out, I need the perfect bag! I typically use a backpack when I'm going to classes because I have to lug around my computer on top of my books, notebooks, and folders. But if I'm going to a club meeting or some other event for class, I love to bring along a cute tote that's big enough for a notebook and some pens. I am obsessed with bags that are big enough to put everything I could ever need (including a book or two), so of course the three totes above caught my eye. As for the backpacks, I love fun patterns that make packing up for class actually exciting. Not to mention anything with cats is a must-have in my book.

Can you tell I'm excited to head back to school? Haha, even though it's two weeks away I already want to start packing. Thankfully, I've managed to resist that urge, but that hasn't stopped me from browsing online for back to school shopping. Senior year is so close! Here's to a great last first day of school!

Just Journals

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

I am obsessed with notebooks. Seriously. I own way more than I need and always want to buy new ones when I see a cute journal in the store. I've tried to journal regularly, but I only manage to fill up about a notebook a year. That means that I have a ton of empty journals lying around in my room that are waiting to be filled with my words…

Either way, I love finding new, beautiful journals. I especially love any journals that reflects what I love, such as Jane Austen or traveling. Any journal with the Eiffel Tower or a cute bike completely steals my heart. Whimsical journals always end up catching my eye as well. Needless to say, I normally always find journals that I would love to own in pretty much any store that carries journals. Put me in a stationary store and I go absolutely crazy with lust. What can I say, it's the little things in life that I find the most magical :)

June Wishlist

Happy June! Now that it's June, it officially feels like summer, even though this is my third week of summer break! The weather has been absolutely beautiful (well, until it started raining yesterday…) and I just love being outside. Everything is so bright and sunny and all of the flowers are gorgeous! We got my mom flowers for mothers day and they definitely brighten up our house.

Needless to say, I'm dying to add even more color in my life! Bright nail polish, shoes, clips, dresses…you name it! I also love switching up my sunglasses every day now that I get to finally wear them. I know that I have way too many pairs, but I'm always finding ones online that I'd love to add to my collection. I don't splurge on myself often, which makes Ebay so addicting! With accessories that are almost all only $1, I want everything! It's all in my budget and almost impossible not to buy it all.

In between scoring new deals on Ebay, I started my job last week and it's so much fun! I'm working for a child watch program and I absolutely love it. The kids are so cute! I had no idea that the 3-5 year olds would be so gosh darn fun to hang out with. Not only that, but they love Frozen and are always singing the songs. I even got to color some Frozen pictures with them. I can definitely get used to getting payed to play with kids and color pictures! Hopefully June ends up being as great as it's starting out to be!

May Wishlist

As a college student, May means that it's finally summer! And I have had my eye on a ton of things that I'd love to celebrate summer with. First on the list? Keds! For work, I have to wear closed-toe shoes and Keds are my go to footwear. They're so cute and comfortable! And I am absolutely in love with Taylor Swift''s collection. They're so colorful and perfect for summer. I already own a pair of turquoise polkadot Keds, but I'd love to add more to my collection.

As you can tell, I absolutely love florals and light pink. I saw the floral cross body bag at JC Penny's and fell in love! Unfortunately, it was pretty much the only brand of purse not on sale that day, so I decided to wait and see if it goes on sale before I give in and finally buy it. Isn't it just perfect for summer?

As always, a coupe of Modcloth dresses made it onto my list. Hopefully, if I save up money this summer, I won't feel as bad splurging on a dress. I don't think I've spent more than $30 on a dress before, but if I end up splurging on a dress then it's definitely going to be on a Modcloth dress! They're just too pretty not to want. The hardest part would be trying to decide which one dress I would pick out of all of the beautiful dresses that I'm in love with. Decisions, decisions….

April Wishlist

Every Spring, I become obsessed with all things pastel and floral. I rotate through my Sally Hansen pastel nail polishes and want to buy every accessory or clothing item with a floral pattern. I just get so excited that the warm weather is coming in, the flowers are blooming, and the grass is turning greener, that I need to celebrate!

I am completley in love with all of the items on my wish list, even though many of them are way out of my price rang. A girl can dream of owning a $100 Modcloth dress…maybe one day! But I just love the floral lace patters on both the violet dress and the high wasted shorts. So cute! And, of course, we can't forget my beloved Keds! I didn't even know they came in coral! I'm dying for another pair of them.

So if you can't tell, I'm super excited it's finally April and that Spring is well on it's way in. The weather is finally warming up and I smile more and more every time I walk outside. If only the weather would get just a tad bit warmer so that I can finally wear my dresses without a coat ruining the entire look. Here's to a bright and flowery Spring!

Wardrobe Wishlist: Feline Fantasy

It's been forever since I've done a wardrobe wish list, and I've missed it! I was so ready to style a dress from Modcloth, but this winter storm that just blew through our last two days of 70 degree weather and dropped the temperature to below 30 degrees yesterday completely dampened my spirits. I couldn't imagine wearing a dress in this weather! Haha, but I can definitely see myself curling up in a big, comfy sweater like this adorable cat one. Seriously, I live in sweaters during the winter.

And nothing is better than cat-themed clothing! My friend got a shirt from Walmart that is a collage of cat faces, and I was so jealous that I actually drove to Walmart later that week to get one. Little did I know, everyone else loves cats as much as I do, and Walmart was all out! I had even asked an employee to help me find them and she took me to the completely empty shelf. I guess I have to keep my eye out and react quicker when I hear about cat clothes through the grapevine.

Another wardrobe must for me during the winter are boots. Over the past year, I have collected three pairs of boots, two that cut just below the knee and one that cuts right above the ankle. Boots can dress up any outfit and they are so comfortable. I have a 15-20 walk to and from class, so comfortable shoes are a necessity in my life. I could live in my boots and be one happy camper. It doesn't look like it's going to warm back up to 70 degrees anytime soon, so it's back to sweaters and boots for me!

Wardrobe Wishlist: travel Time

Today I'm leaving London and heading back home to Ohio! That means I've got hours of travel time ahead of me and I know I'm going to want to be as comfortable as possible during my flight across the pond.

Though I am definitely not a frequent flyer, my trip to London taught me some pretty important things when it comes to a travel wardrobe. The first major thing I learned was bring a sweater! I would get hot and cold throughout the long flight to London and while waiting hours in the airport, so it was great to have a big, comfy sweater to be able to put on when I was cold and simply take off when I got too hot. And I love fun graphic tees, so of course I fell in love with the quirky little pug in glasses t-shirt from Modcloth.

Another thing I now know to make sure I have on flight is a nice, big carry on bag to put all of my books, puzzle books, iPod, and anything else that will keep me occupied. I have so much more stuff going home than I did coming here, and I have no idea how that happened! Haha, I guess I accumulate a lot more in a 6 week period than I thought. But I have a big carry on bag to ensure that everything fits and is easily accessible during the flight.

I'm so sad I'm leaving London, but at the same time I can't wait to get back to Ohio and finally have my summer! Lazy days with my sister on our days off of work sound so nice! I absolutely can't wait :)

Wardrobe Wishlist: Day in the Park

There are so many parks around London that I've been longing for the chance to go to one and just read for the entire day. Sadly, I've always got stuff going on, but maybe for my last week here I'll spend an hour or two on a sunny afternoon, reading in the park.

The perfect outfit for the park would definitely involve breezy clothes with tons of colors! And don't forget the big purse to fit everything I could ever need in it. The perfect purses are the ones that seem absolutely endless and can easily fit a nice, big book and all of my other things.

The weather has cooled down here in London to the low 60s, but it's supposed to get up to 70 before I leave! And then it's home to 90 degree weather next week! I know that's pretty hot, but I couldn't be more excited to finally feel the summer weather. I'll definitely be living in tank tops and shorts for the rest of my summer. I hope you guys are soaking up the sun as summer sets in, enjoying the sunny days full of good books and tan lines :)

Wardrobe Wishlist: Summer Lovin'

Yesterday, I actually started sweating when I was walking home from the grocery store. What? Is this real life? Does it actually feel like summer in London? Back home, it's been in the 80s and I've been super jealous. I know, the hot, sticky summer weather sucks, but after such a long and brutal winter, I have been craving those long summer days where you can sit outside in a tank top with a glass of lemonade, wasting the day away with your nose buried in a book. But before that weather came to Ohio, I was off to London where it's in the 50s and 60s ALL THE TIME. Needless to say, I was ecstatic that the weather reached the 70s.

Of course, that made me want to go to my flat right away, put on a summer dress, and spin around in circles. Haha, I wish I actually did that. But instead I headed straight to my computer and put together an outfit I would love to wear on a summer day. I found an adorable floral dress that I just had to pair with some Ked-like shoes. For some reason, I love the look of Keds with dresses and Keds are always my go-to shoes when I want to be comfortable when I'm walking around while wearing a dress. You can't tell from the picture, but these shoes had sparkly laces, which make them that much more fabulous.

And lastly, this outfit would not be perfect for summer without all of the color. With blues, yellows, oranges, and greens, you can't help but get the bright, summer vibe. Oh how I wish I was wearing this outfit right now! I hope you guys are having fantastic summer weather and have found the right outfit to celebrate the sun :)

June Wishlist

There is always an endless supply of things on my wishlist, so it's so hard having to narrow down exactly what I want to share on my wishlist posts. Can I just list every single item Modcloth has to offer? Haha, they're always coming out with new dresses, shoes, and bags that make me drool every time I look at them. If only I had an endless bank account and a never ending closet, my life would be simply amazing.

My favorite item on this list is probably the superman apron from Modcloth. I actually got to go to the London premiere (at least the red carpet part outside) yesterday and I saw the entire cast! That means I got to see Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, and Russell Crowe! Michael Shannon and Russell Crowe were literally two feet in front of me and I just stared at them in awe...as I took a million pictures of course! It was such a cool experience and now I am even more excited to see the movie when I can. But until then, wouldn't it be awesome to look like I had Superman's body while I baked? It'd make baking even more fun than it is already :)

And, of course, I've got a couple of tote bags on my wishlist for this month. Tote bags are my best friend because they fit EVERYTHING, from books and notebooks to sunglasses and lip balm. As long as the purse is big enough, I'm bound to love it.

June has been a fantastic month so far, and I'm looking forward to finishing it up here in London. I have big plans for the next two weeks and then it's back to the US for me. Here's to hoping June ends even better than it has started.

Wardrobe Wishlist: Day Trip

From London, it is crazy how many places you can visit that are just a train ride away. I've already been to Cambridge and Dover in my first two weeks here. Both trips were so much fun and I loved being able to get out of the city for the day and being able to experience such unique places.

When going on day tips, I've definitely learned some things about how to pick the right wardrobe. I have to where something comfortable and easy to move around in, ALWAYS wear comfortable shoes (one girl had to actually leave Dover after about two hours because her feet hurt so bad. It was so sad!), bring sunglasses, and make sure you're purse is big enough for essentials, but not too big that it's a burden. So I picked out some items that I thought would be perfect to wear if I were to go on another trip for the day. I always have to make sure that what I'm wearing looks good, because I always end up taking a thousand pictures.

I got a pair of the orange sunglasses in mint from this fantastic store called Primark here for only one pound! I think the shape is so much fun and I love the mint color I picked out. Primark is seriously amazing, but describing my complete obsession with that store would take up an entire post on its own. Needless to say, I'm all set on the sunglasses front when it comes to my next trip! I'm heading to Stratford today for an overnight trip with my program group, so hopefully I take some of the tips I've learned and pack up for a fun adventure to Shakespeare's birthplace!

Wardrobe Wishlist: Drizzly Days

Ever since I've been in England, it's been drizzly/rainy about 70% of the time. Needless to say, I've been wishing I had a wardrobe that was both functional and cute in the rain, rather than just one or the other. I've been wearing the same black rain jacket every single day and I just wish I had a cute trench coat to fight off the rain because then I'd feel so much better about getting wet. Who cares about a little rain if I'm looking so cute? So that's why I was inspired to find an outfit that I loved that could survive the London weather.

Everyone here is dressed so cute when they're on their way to work, in tights, dresses, and flats. I wish I had thought to bring my tights, but seeing as it was in the 80s when I left Ohio, I thought it would be summer weather here too. Boy was I wrong! But I've heard this is the coldest May they've had in awhile, so I don't feel too bad about my false assumptions. At least I remembered to bring my cute blue and pink polka dot umbrella! That handy little thing always makes me smile :)

It's supposed to be super sunny today, so I'm crossing my fingers that I can finally pull out a pair of shorts and leave the rain coat at home! Hopefully I can visit some markets and maybe go back to the Borough Market, which is pretty much my favorite place on earth. A sunny afternoon filled with tasting cheese and bread? Yes please!

Travel Wishlist

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7

Since I'm leaving on Sunday, all I've been thinking about is packing and what is going in my luggage. One thing I've never done before is go on a super long flight, so I have no idea what to have in my carry on! I'm going to have a 2 hour flight, and then a 7 hour flight to London, so I'm going to need a lot of things to keep me occupied during those long hours.

I am absolutely in love with that Pan Am bag, and I wish I had one of my own! Sadly, I don't so I have to opt for a different bag to bring with me to stash all of my stuff in. I do, though, have a big comfy sweater that I definitely plan on bringing with me. It's not as gorgeous as the blue and white one from Modcloth, but it'll definitely do. And how cute is that owl contact lens case? I'll be rockin' my glasses for a majority of Sunday and Monday, which is perfectly fine with me because I love my glasses. Too bad my contacts will have to be sitting in the boring green and white cases I got from the eye doctor...

So overall, I hope that I'm set with my own carry on for my trip. I may not have the awesome things on my wishlist, but I'm pretty happy with what I do have. As long as I've got my Nook with me, I should be perfectly content for hours on end :)
