In My Bag [June 2014]

I recently got this adorable bag from JcPenny's and I have been absolutely obsessed with it! I had seen this bag in the store and instantly fell in love, but I didn't buy it right away because I had convinced myself that I didn't need another purse. Well, I couldn't stop thinking about it and would bring it up pretty much any time I was talking about purses or shopping with my sister. Luckily, the next week my mom wanted to do some shopping and we found ourselves in JcPenny's (like always) and my mom decided to treat me to the purse! Needless to say, I was super excited and love every chance I get to use this bag. 

For a small bag, this one holds quite a few of my goodies! Haha, a must for me is that my purse holds a book, and I'm happy to report that this bag does just that. And I love the mixture of patterns with the polka dot lining and the striped sides. Who wouldn't love this purse?

In whatever purse I'm carrying, I normally have my essentials: my wallet, gum, and a book. I love Vera Bradley's zip around wallet and I'm so happy that it fits perfectly in my new purse. It's a little bit smaller than the length of a book, so my wallet and book are able to fit snuggly together. I also always make sure to have some notebooks/paper and pens. Oh, and let's not forget my EOS lip balm! Out of the six flavors I own, the blueberry is definitely one of my favorite. Not only is the blue color adorable, but I love the blueberry scent.

With such a small purse, I end up fitting quite a lot inside. I have everything I need for a trip to the mall or running errands with my sister. The fact that my bag can fit a book comfortably is a huge plus and a main reason why I have been using it all of the time. I hope you guys enjoyed a peek inside of my bag! It'll definitely look like this for awhile because I have a feeling that my love for this bag is going to last a very long time...

In My Bag

It's been a while since I've shown you all what was in my bag, so I thought I'd share it with you today! 

1. I recently got this new, adorable fox purse from ebay for only $9 and I'm absolutely obsessed with it! It even has little ears that stick up and everything! It's definitely one of my best finds online :)

2. My wallet! I'm always in the mood for something different when it comes to my wallet, and I decided to change to a longer one today. I love the metallic blue/gold color of this one. 

3. A notebook! I never know when I'm going to want to jot something down throughout the day. 

4. And pens to go with the notebook. 

5. Coconut lotion. I never go anywhere without lotion and what's summer without a scent that makes me want to go the to beach? 

6. Ahhh I have slight addiction to gum. I haven't had Winterfresh in a while, so that's what I picked up at the store! 

7. My change purse from Vera Bradley! I have A TON of change, so I've been trying to pay with it (I know it's annoying, but I have so much that I might as well use it) and this Vera Bradley pouch is perfect for it. 

8. Bert's Bees lip balm. This stuff is magic when I have chapped lips!

In My Knitting Bag

I love knitting and crocheting, so I thought I'd share with you all what I carry in my knitting bag! 

1) I use a Vera Bradley bag as my primary knitting bag. I love the owl pattern so much and it's roomy enough to fit everything I need

2) Just a couple of needles I keep in my bag. This isn't all I have, but these are in case I want to start a new project

3) My bag full of little knitting supplies

4) My yarn! These are the colors I'm using to make my Granny Square Afghan

5) I use one of the free makeup bags I got to hold all of my knitting supplies

6) My crochet hooks

7) I use a little Very Bradley pouch to hold my stitch markers that I made

8) My mom got me a tin supply kit from The Sexy Knitter. It includes a measuring tape, needles, a tiny pair of scissors, stitch holders, star stitch markers, cable needle, and double ended crochet hook. It's so nifty and has everything I would ever need. If you're a knitter, I would seriously recommend getting one of these!

9) A peppermint measuring tape. Not sure where my mom got it, but I love it! 

10) Tapestry needles

11) Snitch stitch markers! They'e SO cute and my mom got them for me from Etsy

12) Some double pointed needles

13) More stitch holders for any projects I want to put away for a little bit

14) Pens! I always need to write down what row I'm on or else I get so confused and need to start all over again. Not fun!

In My Bag

I thought I'd share with your guys what I've been carrying around in my bag! I switch purses SO many times, so I've been carrying this one for about three days and am thinking of switching it up again...haha I can never use the same bag for too long! But here's what's in this one :)

1. I've had this bag for a while now, so I don't even remember where I got it. What I love about it, though, is  the bright blue inside! Nothing like a little color to brighten my day! 

2. I made a duct tape wallet and gift-card holder and they're both awesome! They've lasted for so long and are in awesome condition. And aren't they adorable??

3. My mirror...I've got to make sure I always look gorgeous :) 

4. My coin purse! I love the floral print! 

5. I'm obsessed with staying organized, so my monthly calendar is a must in my purse!

6. A notebook for writing down anything while I'm out. 

7. Gum!!! I ALWAYS need some gum to chew!

8. My Bath & Body Works lip gloss

9. Yes, I do have that many pens. I didn't even realize it until I took them all out!

10. The best part: My Nook! I always have a book with me and today I happened to be reading one on my Nook. And, of course, the case is pink :)

11. I have a slight obsession with lotion, so it's always in my bag! I LOVE the scent Carried Away from Bath & Body Works!
