Chocolate Cupcakes and an Audrey Hepburn Marathon

I have been waiting for today ALL WEEK and it's finally here! I have such fun plans that involve my favorite actress and my all time favorite food.

1. I'm having an Audrey Hepburn marathon! Two of my friends and I are getting together this afternoon to obsess over our favorite actress. So happy I got this Triple Feature for Christmas!

2. My first Jane Austen Book Club meeting is this Thursday (Valentine's Day...isn't it just so fitting?) and our first book is Persuasion. Hopefully I can finish it this weekend!

3. Along with the marathon, we're baking delicious chocolate cupcakes with adorable pink pearl sprinkles. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

4. I'm slowly making my way through this new scarf. I'm completely in love with the gold color, so I'm excited to be able to wear this one when it's finished. Hopefully I get some knitting time in while watching some Audrey!

And that's my fantstic plans for today! Doesn't it sound like so much fun? Well, I know I can't wait for the festivities to being :) I hope you all have a fantastic Friday as well.

Friday's Favorites

It's Friday! That means it's weekend time for me and I couldn't be more excited. This is the first weekend in a while I can relax and catch up on a bunch of stuff. Which definitely includes some homework! But I also want to work on some knitting projects I'm really excited to get done and watch some movies that I recently got from the library. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to these next couple of days :)

1) Hehe. Best. Valentine. Ever.

2) These are literally the coolest friendship necklaces ever.

3) This hot cocoa packet describes drinking hot chocolate perfectly. And who doesn't love kittens?

4) Yeah, I'm pretty much in love with the nails AND the phone. There's just something about those pastel colors that I'm obsessed with.

5) This stenciled pencil case is just too cute!

6) I want this Harry Potter tea cup so bad! Isn't it awesome?

7) Just look at how pretty these caramel apples are. Mmm, not to mention they look delicious!

8) How could would this romantic picnic be? If only I had a valentine to share this with...

9) Look at all of the crayons! I would seriously go crazy if I had a box this big. Just imagine all of the possibilities!

10) This body image list is so inspiring. Putting that energy you wast worrying about looks into something productive is such a good tip!

Harry Potter and Fuzzy Valentines

Hello everyone! Today has been quite a good one considering Wednesdays are my busiest days of the week. I have four classes back to back from 11am to 7pm, so it's quite a long day. But good things certainly happened to make it pass by super quickly.

-I wore my Harry Potter shirt today, which always puts me in a good mood.
-I've had this pink yarn in my bin for a while and I really want to use it soon. I was thinking up some fun projects during my classes today.
-My new boots came in the mail yesterday! It took a month for them to come, but they finally did and I'm in love.
-My parents are super sweet and got me these fuzzy valentine guys to make for Valentine's Day the last time I was home. Aren't they adorable?
-Two awesome romances came in the mail today and I absolutely can't wait to dig into them. It's been far too long since I've last read a juicy historical romance.
-Nothing passes the time better than doodling hearts in the margins of my notebook.

Hopefully tomorrow can be just as nice as today was. I've got some fun plans this weekend that involve Audrey Hepburn and chocolate cupcakes. So I can't wait for Friday to come! Hope you guys all have a fantastic rest of your week :)

Wardrobe Wishlist: Boots and Birds

I love finding adorably cute tops to pair with a pair of skinny jeans and boots. With this cold, dreary weather, there's nothing better than adding a pop of color to your wardrobe as well! So I would love to be able to pair some lavender jeans with a fun dark top. And, of course, you can't have the perfect outfit without a nice big tote. I carry so much in my bag (books, notebooks, pens, chapsticks, lotions...) that a big bag is a must for me.

I ordered some boots from Delia's earlier in January and they finally came today! I've been dreaming up outfits to wear with them, so I just had to share this one with you guys. Jeans are my go-to comfort pants (I'm sorry, but leggings are NOT pants), so I'm super excited to dress them up with a cute top and my new boots! Temperatures are slowly rising and I cannot wait for the spring weather to move in. I'm excited to wear dresses and sweaters without my heavy winter coat wearing me down (though the hot pink color does brighten my mood!).

In between classes these past couple of days, I've been snuggling up with some amazing books and counting down the days until I go home in three weeks. I'm also super excited for yet another Quidditch tournament in two weeks. We're going to be heading down to Tennessee for some Harry Potter fun! So I've got quite a bit ahead of me this month. I can't wait to see how it goes! I hope all of your months are off to a great start as well :)

Loving the Little Things

Finally getting into the routine of school, I have some pretty hectic days Monday though Thursday. It seems like between classes, clubs, and homework, I get caught up in everything that the little things in life seem to catch me by surprise. Today, my best friend from home called and left a voice mail and it made me just feel so happy. That got me thinking about all of the other little things that made me happy when I least expect it. Who knew such tiny little things in your life can completely turn your day around?

I've got quite a week ahead of me, so I just have to remember to keep my head up. Hopefully I'll have some nice quality time with the new scarf I'm working on or be able to squeeze in some time to watch a movie that's on my to-watch list. Either way, taking time to just enjoy the day is a must to stay sane as a college student. Hopefully you guys have a good week too!

Sponsor Sew In Love in February!

I have high hopes for Febrary-- tons of knitting, reading, and movie watching for me! I'll pretty much do anything to take my mind off of these freezing temperatures. But cold weather does mean I get to wear the many, many scarves I've been knitting myself lately. It's so nice to be able to use my creations. Let's hope February is a good month!

If you haven't already, check out my sponsor page! I have a large, medium, and small ad for sale and the ad will be up for 30 days. I'm using passionfruit ads, so the process is pretty simple! Just visit my page and click on the ad you want and follow the directions. That's it!

As always, thank you all for being such amazing followers and for all of your support. Make sure you email me at peacelovebooks5 [at] aol [dot] com if you have any questions or comments. I hope you guys have a fantastic Sunday and are reading for a fabulous February.

It's February Already???

Holy cow. Is January really already over? Where did the time go? Well, I must say January was a pretty good month, but I'm ready to take on February. Hopefully the weather will be warming up and love will be in the air on Valentine's Day! As always, a new month means new goals I hope to accomplish in the next 28 days. So here's what I have planned...

Have an Audrey Hepburn marathon I found out that two girls on the Quidditch team love Audrey almost as much as I do...so we're planning a marathon! It should be super fun :)

Be happy I really can't let the little things get to me! Just focus on being happy and life will be so much better.

Write as much as I can Ever since I started keeping a writer's notebook, I've been so inspired to write. So whether it's in my notebook, my journal, or an actual story on the computer, I want to write any time I can.

Dress up more often I love the days where I am absolutely in love with my outfit because then I dread the moment I get back to my room and have to change. So I want that feeling a lot more this month! Hopefully it will warm up so I can wear some of my dresses.

Read and enjoy what I'm reading Being a book blogger, it's really easy to get caught up in the review books and writing so many reviews that you forget why you loved reading in the first place. Luckily, this hasn't really happened to me and I really want to keep it that way! I'm going to try to find some really awesome books to read this month.

Finish my chevron afghan I have been working on this afghan FOREVER and I really want to finish it! I can't wait to see how the final product looks.

Try out vlogging some more I actually posted my very first vlog on Friday and it was a ton of fun! I really want to exploring the whole vlogging thing and see where I can go with it.

Keep up in my classes I am literally obsessed with my French Cinema class and I really love the English Literature class I'm taking (who knew they could be so naughty back in the day?) so classes have been going really well for me this semester. I really want to keep it that way!

Explore coffee I've tried to stop drinking pop and drinking more water in attempts to be more healthy. This means, though, that I've lost my caffeine source...and as a college student that's not good. At all. So I really want to try out coffee and see if it'll cure my need to doze off in my Italian Cultures class...

And those are all of my goals! Wish me luck and I hope you guys have a fantastic February as well :)
