Sweet On Sweaters

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

As the cold weather is finally moving in, one thing comes to my mind: it's sweater time! I absolutely love sweaters and bundling up in those adorably knitted tops. Modcloth probably has the cutest sweaters around, so I thought I'd share my favorite six sweaters with you guys! Whether they're big and cozy or have an adorable print, these sweaters are all to die for.

While I can't afford to have all of these sweaters, I do love it when I snag a big comfy sweater for a bargain price when I shop. Being able to snuggle up in a sweater by the fire with a big cup of tea and good book sounds like absolute heaven to me. Doesn't it? *sigh* I get warm and sleepy just thinking about it.

The best sweaters, though, have to be the good old Christmas sweaters. I love going to ugly Christmas sweater parties and seeing what beauties people have been able to dig up! I think the fourth sweater on my list would definitely be the perfect sweater to wear to one of those parties. Despite the "ugly" reputation those Christmas sweaters have, I don't think they're ugly at all! They're simply perfect for sharing the cheer and joy of this holiday season.

Popping In to Say Hello

Hey guys! So sorry I've been kind of quiet this week. It's exam week and it's been a little busy! I had a ton of papers to write and a Shakespeare final to study for where we actually had to write an essay in class, so it wasn't that much fun!

Haha, but today I took my last exam so I can spend more time on my posts! It feels so good to be done with exams, you have absolutely no idea. I'm so ready to go home, lie down with my puppy, and gorge myself on Christmas cookies/food. Mmm I can't wait!

I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday and I'll catch up with you later!

A Merry Harry Potter Christmas

About a week ago I mentioned that I planned a Christmas party with my Quidditch team and had an absolute blast. We did a secret santa and I'm pretty sure I received the absolute best present of everyone there. My secret santa did some snooping around on my pinterest and figured out that I loved cookie cutters and jewelry, so she made sure those were a part of my present. And what person on a Quidditch team doesn't love Harry Potter? Here's what she ended up getting me:

That's right! She got me two Christmas cookie cutters, a Deathly Hallows necklace, a mockingjay pin, and a snitch necklace! She told me she got the three pieces of jewelry from etsy because they were on my pinterest. Isn't that awesome? I was beyond excited when I opened my present and I've already worn each piece of jewelry at least once since then. Needless to say, I absolutely love my gift and how it was Harry Potter themed. As a Harry Potter fanatic, I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift.

Top 5 Christmas Desserts

Baking is one of my favorite parts of the holidays, and we'll spend hours making yummy desserts to bring to our cousins' house when we do our family gift exchange. I love spending all day in the kitchen, stealing licks of chocolate from the spoon (that we're done using of course) and each cookies warm from the oven. We'll have the Christmas music playing and bake together from dusk until dawn. I can't wait for that time to come again this year! Until then, I thought I'd share with you some cookies that are an absolute must to make in my household.

1) Peanut Butter Blossoms are absolutely to die for. My favorite part is unwrapping all of the Hershey kisses with my sister and stealing a couple here and there. These cookies have the perfect mixture of peanut butter and chocolate.

2) Caramel Thumbprint Cookies are my favorite cookies to make for the holidays and have been ever since I was a little girl. Since I don't like nuts, we don't add that little detail, but with the chocolate cookies, caramel, and chocolate drizzle, you just can't go wrong with these.

3) Chocolate Marshmallow Mile-High Squares are probably the easiest ones to make out of the whole bunch and they are so yummy. They take about 10 minutes to make and the chocolate and butterscotch chip mixture is delicious.

4) Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies are the perfect cookies to give you that extra chocolate you need during the holiday season. With chocolate cookie dough mixture with huge chocolate chunks, anyone with a sweet tooth will absolutely love these.

5) Melted Snowman Cookies are a definite must for anyone who loves to be creative with their desserts. They're so much fun to make and really aren't that difficult at all. They're tasty and will definitely make conversation at any Christmas party you go to.

And those are my top five desserts of the season! Now all I want to do is go eat some chocolate, haha. It's a little too early to start making these delicious desserts, but hopefully I can start on some of them next week! All I have to do until then is plan which ones I want to make, which will definitely include these five yummy holiday desserts.

English papers and cupcake books

It's the weekend and I couldn't be more thrilled! This past weekend was my last week of classes, so I was excited for that week to be over. Now, I'm in the home stretch of finally being done with the semester! One paper and exam stand in between me and my winter break. But that doesn't mean I can't take some time for myself this weekend too! So here's what I'll be up to these next couple of days :)

1) Knitting, knitting, and more knitting I have been working endlessly on Christmas presents and I'm working on this one for my mom! I already finished one for my roommate and I thought my mom would just love this color. I'm working with a really cool pattern, so I can't wait to see how it turns out!

2) Writing my paper I have a 10 page paper on Frankenstein due Wednesday, so I've been working so hard on it for the past two weeks! I've got ten pages done, but that doesn't mean it's ready to be turned in. I'll be tweaking it up and making it perfect this weekend.

3) Journaling I have been falling behind on journaling, so hopefully I can catch up on that this weekend! So much has been going on in my life that I really want to get down and think out on paper. There's no better therapy than writing in your trusty old journal :)

4) Art journaling I've had the supplies to start for a while, I've just been way to scared to actually put the pen to the paper. I am determined to do at least one page this weekend. Hopefully that actually happens!

5) Obsessing over my cupcake book My knitting club did a secret santa this past meeting and my secret santa got me this AMAZING cupcake book! She knew how obsessed I was with cupcakes, so when I opened the gift I went absolutely crazy! I'm so excited to be able to get into this book and try out the adorable recipes.

And that's what I'll be up to! Despite the dreary, rainy weather, I think it's going to be a nice weekend. I hope you guys have a great two days as well :)

Friday's Favorites

IT'S FRIDAY! And Fall semester is officially OVER! Ahhhh I am beyond excited right now. All that stands between me and Winter Break is a 10 page paper on Frankenstein and a Shakespeare finally. I can totally do it! This semester seriously flew by and now it's time to spend some well deserved R&R at home. Now that classes have ended, though, I've had tons of time to spend on Pinterest and imgfave, so I've found plenty of things to share with you this Friday :)

1) How amazing is this mustache cake??? My friend is going to Israel in a week, so I may just have to make her one of these as a going away gift :)

2) I'm in such awe of what people can do with nails, so it's no surprise I was blown away by these Christmas tree nails! They don't look too difficult, so maybe I'll try it out!

3) Speaking of nail polish, I came across these adorable OPI cookies. Such a good idea to make for a polish lover :)

4) Mmmmmmm snowflake macarons! I am determined to make some macarons over winter break, so hopefully they'll look as pretty as these ones!

5) I about died when I saw this collage of disney channel original movies. Oh the memories :)

6) I want this storm trooper iphone case so bad! How sweet does he look dancing??

7) Knitting with these chunky knitting needles looks like so much fun! And that yarn just looks absolutely cuddly and cozy!

8) Tehe, this tank top is too cute for words.

9) Look! They're little kitty pizzas! I really want to throw a cat themed party so that I can have all of these adorable cat shaped foods I've been finding :)

10) I love this tea pot necklace! Maybe I'll find it in my stocking for Christmas this year ;)

Christmas Playlist

I know that I've said over and over again how Christmas is my favorite holiday, but seriously, it is! Blogging during this season is so much fun because I get to share every single thing I love about this time of year. I've already shared some fabulous Christmas Dresses, festive Christmas decorations, and my favorite Christmas movies, so I thought it was time to share my favorite music!

I've been listening to my Christmas playlist ever since Thanksgiving, and I have been absolutely loving it. There are so many fantastic Christmas albums out there and each year my Christmas music collection grows bigger and bigger. My favorite albums would have to be the ones from Michael Buble, Justin Bieber, Aly & AJ, and the Glee cast. They all have such unique and cool versions of normal Christmas songs, not to mention new ones that are simply fantastic. I've put together a list of the 17 favorite songs of the season just for you guys! So I hope you enjoy and are able to get into the Christmas spirit as much as I have :)
