My Knitting Playlist

So I absolutely LOVE knitting and crocheting, but I never only knit or crochet. I'm either knitting and listening to music or crocheting and watching TV. Today, I thought I'd share with you all my favorite songs to listen to while I knit!

I hope you guys enjoy my playlist! I have a wide variety of taste, so I never get bored whenever I'm working on a project! What do you guys do when you're knitting or crafting? I'd love to hear, so don't hesitate to share! In the meantime, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day! And to start that day, I'll leave you with this super addable kitten :)

My Tuesday Shopping Adventure

Yesterday was my first day off in a week, so what other way is there to celebrate than to go shopping??

First, my sister and I saw What To Expect When You're Expecting and it was super cute! I loved it! Then, we headed over to the mall (which is right next to our movie theater) and went to Forever 21, which is my absolute FAVORITE store :)

I got an adorable white sweater for only $11. Then, I got a mint green v-neck for $5.80. I've been dying to get a pair of tights, so I got a pair of fuchsia ones for $4.50 and some baby lips lip balm for $2.50. My best find, though, was this dress for only $10! I love that style with the long, shear sleeves and I found it on sale! Needless to say, I was VERY excited when I came home with my loot. All of this came to under $40! How awesome is that? I'd say I spent my day off very well :) And now I'm back to work! See you all again tomorrow!

Working Like A Dog

Hello everyone! I feel like I haven't posted in forever, even though I only missed yesterday. I've just been so busy working! I've worked everyday since Tuesday and don't get a day off until Tuesday, so I've been quite busy!

I have so many new posts I have planned, I just haven't been able to sit down and write them all yet! Hopefully I can soon! Whenever there's a lull at work, I make lists of posts I want to write and it's quite a list! So I can't wait to share them with everyone! Make sure you keep you eye out for fun posts this week :) Welp, it's time for me to go to work! Bye for now!

Friday's Favorites

Wow, this week went by sooooo slowly. I think it's because I've started working, so I've been at work for 8 hours of the day. But it's Friday! Yay! Now onto my favorites from this week :)

1) These mugs are so cute! I would love to have these once I'm married :)

2) I love paper lanterns! This would be so cute to do at a wedding!

3) Ahhh I love colorful hair. I would never be brave enough to try something like this though!

4) Hehe this is just too cute :)

5) I love these starts! I have to learn how to make them!

6) Oh my gosh, how awesome would it be to eat unicorn cookies?? I have to find out how to get this cookie cutter!

7) Aren't these stools so much fun? As a kid, I loved sitting at the bar and I know these stools would have rocked my world.

8) I miss Lizzie McGuire so much!! Haha, this definitely represents me whenever I'm eating.

9) Harry Potter nails! That would be so sweet if I could do that to my nails!

10) I have a slight obsession with sunglasses and I would love EVERY SINGLE PAIR of these. Perfect for the summertime!

And that's what I'm loving this Friday! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day :)

Craft Corner: Melted Crayon Portrait

After seeing all of the melted crayon art on Pinterest, I decided to try it out myself! It's actually really easy and only takes about twenty minutes to make!

Materials

1. Crayons you don't want anymore
2. A canvas. Any size is fine.
3. A bottle of glue.
4. A hairdryer.

First, you want to layout your crayons in whatever order you want. I chose to do it rainbow, but some use just blues and grays or just reds and pinks. Then, you start gluing the crayons down so that they lie across the top of the canvas.

Then, once all of the crayons are glued on so that they cover the entire top edge, I found a picture of the silhouette of a man and a woman online. Then, I printed it, cut them out, and glued them to the bottom of the canvas. You can do this, or you can just leave it blank. Whichever you prefer!

Then, set up newspaper so that you do not get your workplace dirty. After that, I put a pice of folded up foil along the arch of the umbrella so that the melted crayon would fall around it, creating the effect that the rain is falling off the umbrella.

And now, you turn your hairdryer on and hold it up to the crayons until they start to melt!

And tada! Once you have the crayons as melted as you want, let it sit for a couple of minutes until it's dry and then you're done! You have an adorable melted crayon piece of art! I love how mine turned out and if you tried it, I hope you love what you did as well! Thanks for stopping by :)

To-Do List: #4

To-Do List #4: Get a job

Your read that right! I finally got a job and had my first day today! It was so long, but I know it's definitely going to be worth the money I'm going to make this summer! I'm working in retail, so it's not so bad and all of the people are so awesome!

Since I'm going to be working so much, I'll have less time to get things done that I wanted to this summer and blog. But I'm going to try my hardest! I have two days a week off, so hopefully I can find time to do everything I want! And by the end of the summer, I'll have tons of money to buy everything on my wish list and more! By the time my sophomore year of college starts, I'll be the best dressed girl on campus :)

Kitchen Krazy: Cookie Dough Balls

I absolutley LOVE cookie dough, so when I found this recipe for cookie dough without the eggs, I knew I had to make it!

Ingredients:

All you do now is mix everything together from the recipe and you have your cookie dough!

Once everything's all mixed together, I scooped them into balls and put them on a cookie sheet. Then, I melted some chocolate and instead of dipping the balls into the chocolate like the recipe says, I drizzled it on top. Then, I stored them in the freezer!

And they're delicious! My entire family loved them and they lasted for quite a while! They're the perfect treat for the summer and the perfect bite size snacks! Hope you guys enjoyed this recipe and try it out yourselves!

My Wish-List

Lately I have been looking around at A TON of other blogs and I have found so many amazing new sites full of amazing people. After looking through blog after blog, I started seeing things on their blogs that I wish I had. Whether it was from their buttons or their blog posts, I wanted EVERYTHING I saw. So, I thought I'd share my new blogger-inspired Wish-List!

I've seen a ton of bloggers have this Polaroid 300 Instant Camera. I have always been in love with polaroid cameras, but I've never actually owned one myself. This one is so cute and prints the picture right after you take it! I want it so bad!!!! I'm going to have to keep my eye out for any on sale :)

Meredith over at One Sheepish Girl uses these in her header and buttons of her blog and I am obsessed with them! I already talked about them on my Friday's Favorites post a couple of days ago, but I still can't help but think of them! They are the Penguin Classics Hardcover books and I want them! So you know what I did? I ordered three of them from Barnes and Noble on Friday :) Hopefully they come tomorrow! I can't wait to have my own just to hold!!

I have a slight obsession with sunglasses, but a style I don't have is cat-eye! These sunglasses are so gorgeous and I think I'm going to have to find a cool pair online to wear this summer :) Mandi from Miss Indie always has a cute pair of sunglasses to go with her outfits, so she always makes me want to go out and find even more awesome pairs!

I found these Shakespeare Journals from Etsy are so freaking gorgeous. I found them a couple of months ago and want one so bad!!! Vivs from Oh Shoot is always blogging about journaling and every time I visit her site, I go online and window shop for gorgeous journals. I'm so inspired to write, but I already have tons of journals waiting to be filled...I might have to make an exception for these though!

Every time I look at Elsie's blog header at A Beautiful Mess, I can't help but swoon at the dresses in the background. I want to start wearing more dresses and my ideal wardrobe would definitely be the dresses from Modcloth but I would be so broke if I did that. This dress is so cute though! Maybe once I start my job this summer I can treat myself to a dress from there :)

And that's it so far for my blogger inspired Wish-List! I'm sure this list will grow so much, but I've got to restrain myself! Maybe I'll ask for some of these for my birthday...it's only two months away!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys have a lovely day :)

To-Do List: #13

#13: Weigh 120 lbs

I seriously cannot believe it. Today, I stepped on the scale and you know what showed up? 119.9. I weigh 120 lbs. I can't even remember the last time I weighed 130 lbs, let alone 120. I'm pretty sure the last time was in middle school. I've always been insecure about my body, but I never realized that all it took was time and dedication to feel healthier and better about myself.

My problem? I love food. Seriously, I don't even know how people could have an eating disorder. I NEED to eat. And when I'm not eating, I'm thinking about eating (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but I seriously can't live without it). So the first step I had to take was eating healthier. I started eating more yogurt, fruits, and veggies.

But eating healthier only gets you so far. So you know what the true key to my success was? Running. And now I absolutely love it.

I go running almost everyday, so not only have I lost weight but I'm actually in good shape! I'd like to think I wouldn't be the first to die if I were to be in The Hunger Games ;) And now, I've built confidence in how I feel about my body, which has really broadened what I wear now! Clothes that hadn't fit before fit now and I'm not afraid to wear certain clothes (dresses, skirts, shorts) that I felt exposed too much before. All in all, I just love myself more and I'm so proud of how I've actually stuck with running and becoming a better me :)
