Craft Corner: The Mid-December Infinity Scarf

Lately, I've really wanted to make a thick, cozy scarf made out of some really soft, thick, cozy yarn. Jo Ann's was having their New Year's sale, so I kind of went crazy with the yarn, haha. I got this super adorable chunky red yarn with little speckles of colors in it. I had no idea what I was going to make, but I knew the yarn would make a perfect cowl. I searched around on Ravelry for a little bit and came across the pattern for the Mid-December Infinity Scarf and fell in love. The pattern was so cute and I loved how the two different sides of the cowl had a different design. And it was super easy and looked super cozy. Needless to say, I got to work right away.

Isn't it just so awesome? I can't wait to wear it more this winter! I was so excited to see the finished project that I finished this one in one afternoon. It turned out incredibly soft and so big! I love cowls that can wrap around a bunch of times because they're so warm and perfect for those cold, snowy days. The color is one of my favorites too, so I'm definitely going to get a lot of use out of this one in the next couple of months.

I have this yarn in yellow too and I'm waiting to find the perfect pattern before I use it. I just love that feeling of finding the absolute perfect pattern for the absolute perfect yarn. And then, when you wear that scarf, you remember that feeling and can't help but feel happy every time you put it on. Do you know what I mean? Or am I just crazy? Haha, whatever. I'll just be cozying up with my adorable new scarf while you go on ignoring this insane knitter with her insane giddy feelings over yarn :)

  4. This pattern is no longer available on Ravelry, yet it still comes up in a search. Do you have the pattern? I'm desperate to make it!
